Answer to the architectural and institutional order by sound and visual order. N[order]ISE is an audiovisual performance where the main intentions interact with the venue. The sound and visual components are constructed from unordered digital matter, such as chaos (white noise) and emptiness (dark video). A composition work by subtraction (sound component) and addition (visual component) orders the audiovisual media and allows to the venue to become a unique, coherent and multisensory object. For the Nef Curial of the CentQuatre (Paris/FR), a multichannel sound system (10.4) allows to stage, in a musical way, the main characteristic of the venue : the major axis of the Nef. For the venue of the Gaité Lyrique (Paris/FR), a triptych videoprojection allows to propose an large frontal audiovisual experience.
N[order]ISE is coproduced by IRCAM (Paris, FR), Alex Augier Studio (Paris, FR) and has been created during the 2014 Manifeste festival within the framework of the InVivo Electro Live workshop directed by Robert Henke (CentQuatre, Paris, FR).
